Anstey Rover Crew started in 1999 making it one of the younger crews in the state. Originally with a strong interest in motor sports, the crew has diversified over the past 5 years and "come out of the closet at a Branch level." Anstey rovers have a reputation for adding a touch of our own style to all Branch activities.
The crew is a close-knit and friendly group that works well together as a team and welcomes anyone wanting to join us. Some of our annual crew activities include our Quiz night and our Christmas Dinner and we have a diverse range of other activities throughout the year. Our crew mascot is one little goat, aptly named One Goat and our most significant tradition is "The Ugly Stick".
Our crew regularly interacts with other crews in the state by initiating various inter-crew activities and challenges. The Crew also has a strong dedication to Service and have been involved in numerous service activities over the years.
We maintain an excellent relationship with the Hope Valley Scout Group, which in turn gives us access to their hall - where our den is located - and their extensive range of gear. In return, we help the group as much as possible through our services and running activities like Quiz Night 2004, in which all profits went to the group.
